Laminated safety glass – STADIP 22.2
New – Using for Cover Lenses
The laminated safety glass STADIP 22.2 is made up of 2 mm thick glass panes and two highly tear-resistant polymer films made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB), which are laminated in a temperature-pressure process to form a permanently durable composite. In case of damage, i.e. mechanical overload (shock or impact) the glass breaks, but the glass surface remains closed due to the composite behaviour and the risk of cutting and piercing injuries is therefore reduced to a minimum.
Properties
• Protection against injuries in case of glass breakage
• Lower installation thickness (glass pane thickness)
• Up to 5 kg/m² less glass weight than a standard 6 mm thick laminated safety glass
• Neutral colour look
• Clear through-vision & high light transmittance
Use
Due to the safety properties of STADIP 22.2, this laminated safety glass is suitable for protecting eyes, especially during grinding and cutting work on mineral and metallic materials. Use in machine tools is also practical, as it can be installed in standard frame constructions.
